Flight for army helicopter pilot serving in 1958
98 years old William (Bill) Hosking was thrilled to get up in the air this morning with Skywalker Flight Training Instructor Mike Owen. Helping Wings were contacted by the Jersey Deaf Society and we were delighted to be able to offer Bill a round the island flight.
A reminder of his earlier career when he was the first army helicopter pilot serving in 1958 with the Royal Artillery in Middle Wallop and also in Germany in the Army Air Corpswhen helicopters were first deployed with front line troops.
Bill thoroughly enjoyed his flight.
