Applications Now Open for the Helping Wings and WetWheels Joint Adventure Day
Helping Wings is delighted to announce that applications are now open for our much-loved joint event with Wetwheels Jersey, a truly special day giving participants the chance to experience Jersey from both the sea and the sky.
The event takes place on Sunday 5 July 2026 and places always fill very quickly, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
The day is designed for disabled and disadvantaged islanders of all ages, offering unforgettable experiences, confidence-building moments and lots of smiles along the way. Guests will enjoy:
A scenic flight around the island with volunteer pilots from Helping Wings
An accessible powerboat adventure with Wetwheels Jersey
Breakfast, lunch and refreshments
Certificates and goodie bags to remember the day
The format of the event sees guests split into groups, with one group taking to the skies while the other heads out to sea, before swapping over later in the day so everyone enjoys both experiences. Previous events have been described as confidence-building, uplifting and life-changing for many participants.
Helping Wings has been creating memorable flying experiences for local people since 2008, with nearly 2,000 guests having already enjoyed the exhilaration of flight thanks to the generosity of volunteer pilots and supporters.
