Spring Flying Day

The weather certainly played its part, allowing our volunteer pilots to do all 21 flights booked for our event. The view from the air, especially for those families who had never flown round our beautiful island before, must have been stunning!

Again, this event would not be possible without the commitment and generosity of our pilots and helpers. We also very much appreciate all the support we get from Ports of Jersey, The Jersey Aero Club, Skywalker Flight training and of course, Fatima, Jersey Aero Club bar manageress, who ensures everyone is well fed and watered!

Our other highlight this weekend was the visit from U.K charity Aerobility. Their instructor, Mike Owen, was returning to Jersey for the second time. He flew our lower limb disabled students in a specially adapted aircraft with a hand control allowing the student to have full control of the aeroplane. He also flew some of our HW guests.
