A Day of Adventure on Land and Sea

On Sunday 13th July, Helping Wings held our much-loved annual joint day with Wetwheels Jersey and what a truly special day it was!

Our guests were welcomed with breakfast at St Helier Yacht Club, where they were delighted by a surprise visit from The Governor of Jersey and our Patron, His Excellency Sir Jerry Kyd, accompanied by his Chief of Staff. It was a wonderful start to a day filled with sunshine, excitement, and new experiences.

After breakfast, our guests divided into two groups: one group headed to Jersey Aero Club for a flight around the island with our incredible team of volunteer pilots, while the other group set off for an exhilarating boat trip with Wetwheels Jersey. After lunch, the groups swapped over, making sure everyone had the chance to enjoy both air and sea adventures.

With clear skies and warm sunshine throughout, the day was a resounding success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.

Wetwheels Jersey provides accessible boating experiences for people of all ages and abilities, opening up the sea to everyone. We are proud to work alongside them to help make these magical days possible.
