This day is for those age 13+ (adults welcome!). Your flight of around 30 minutes will take you round our beautiful island giving everyone the opportunity to see “home” from the air. We are, at times, able to offer some visits to the Airport Control Tower. Those visits are very popular, but as we depend on Air Traffic Control staff availability, these are not guaranteed.
The event is held in the club room at the Jersey Aero Club where everyone is welcomed by the Helping Wings team. We usually operate 4-seater aeroplane and so the numbers are restricted but when weight allows, the pilots are happy to take another family member or friend along.
During your visit, light refreshments are served, and everyone goes home with a goodie bag and a certificate signed by their pilot.
The events take place at the Jersey Aero Club where parking is available.
For each event, whether a child or an adult, we expect an adult/carer to accompany the Helping Wings guests at all times including the flight.
All our events are subject to the weather and when sometimes commercial flights can go ahead, our limits do not allow us to fly – safety first!
Our pilots are volunteers and offer their time and aircraft free of charge to Helping Wings. This means, of course, that at times, although we have accepted a booking, it may have to be changed or cancelled due to last minute issues.
